Daniel has studied with many well known improv teachers. He received certification from the Intimacy Forum as a Relationship & Intimacy Coach & has studied Psychosophy, a psychospiritual system of joyous growth, with mentor Scott Hamilton for the past 8 years. He has held transformational growth workshops in California, Maui, Kauai, and Peru. He is uniquely able to create safe containers, bringing a skill that allows participants to relax, open up & embrace the ‘unpredictability’ of improv.
This workshop will help us to connect to friends & community with playful improv games & authentic relating exercises. This is not performance based: improv games will be used to help us take ourselves less seriously, to give us tools to melt social anxiety & to support us to access our innocent creative spark, easing & deepening our connection to ourself & others. We'll be supported to bring this flow state out into the festival & the rest of our lives.
Deep inside you lies an endless well of creative potential: the wild & magical energy of your inner child. Many of us have shut down aspects of our innocent playful expressive nature; societal expectations & ancestral traumas have artificially molded us to conform and fit in, resulting in various degrees of shut-down & contrived "normalcy." Via playful improv, movement & authentic relating games, this workshop is a call to re-open to the wild joyous free play of who we really are.
