- No vaccine requirement.
We require 2 tests:
- Test before you leave
- Testing onsite by 3rd party provider
Testing before you leave for SoulPlay
Because we can only obtain results of an antigen test at the door, we are asking everyone to get PCR tested within 72 hours of arrival, and show your results at the gate. Those who are not able to take a PCR test (eg. those who do not have insurance, or have fully recovered from a recent COVID infection in the last 10 weeks) are welcome to take a Rapid Antigen Test instead in the morning prior to your departure towards the festival. After taking your PCR test, please limit your exposure by wearing masks indoors, not attending any risky events, and all the other ways of taking care we are all familiar with now.
We understand that this might be a minor inconvenience to each of us, but it is a major benefit for our community. Additionally, pre-testing will help ensure you don’t drive all the way to the event only to find out you need to go home - potentially with a whole carpool of others! For PCR testing, we recommend using Curative or Test the People.
Here is information for testing in Lake County.
Please note that this is in addition to the test that we will administer at the entry to the festival.
Onsite testing will be administered to everyone by Guardian Testing at the gate on Thursday and Friday. They will administer a rapid antigen test as well as a PCR test. The rapid test results will be available while you wait. The PCR test results will be sent to you via email within 2 business days. These tests will be free for everyone with insurance, and will cost $30 for anyone without insurance. The payments go directly to Guardian Tests. If you have very low-income and no insurance, we're happy offer a sliding scale and SoulPlay will pay the difference. Please pre-register to save time at the gate: PRE-REGISTER.
In addition to the testing requirement, what else will SoulPlay do to keep us Covid safe?
- Event will be held mostly outdoors
- We recommend that people get tested upon their return from the event before interacting with vulnerable populations
- In the days leading up to the event, if anyone starts experiencing the onset of flu-like symptoms (fever, aches, chills, cough, sore throat, congestion, etc.), you should NOT attend SoulPlay. Refunds will be given if you must cancel due to being sick.
- Catering staff and servers will be required to wear masks while handling food
We continue to monitor the evolving situation and will put in place whatever measures are needed to both comply with regulation and keep our community safe.
