Informed by his personal healing journey, Northern California producer Scott Nice brings a union of electronic and acoustic sounds to both move the body and feed the soul. World prayers, flute and hand drum samples are a hallmark of Scott's sound while the juxtaposition of his hip-hop turntablist roots create a one-of-a-kind dance journey. Since 2016 Scott has released 6 full length albums working with many amazing artists such as El Buho, Mose, Poranguí, The Polish Ambassador and many more. Scott brings the listeners mind and heart into a flowing adventure through world music colors, sounds of the jungle, and dance music aesthetics. From ambient stillness we emerge organically into greater movement reaching peaks of emotional release, play and connection before coming back to a point of outer quietude. This Sunday Morning Ecstatic Dance set will blend many genres and emotions into a seamless pathway of exploration of getting down.
The Feelings Parade
The Feelings Parade is a movement as much as it is a band. Led by songwriters Morgan Bolender and Scott Ferreter, the project has developed a loyal following of diehard “Feelers" who come as much for the poetic songwriting, tight harmonies, and rich textures as they do to drop into their own tender human hearts in a space of collective radical vulnerability. The world gives us plenty of reasons to put our guards up. Through songs and stories, they will be sharing our deepest truths and singing down through the layers to arrive at something more honest and brave. Let's meet in a space that is equally reverent to the ache, the challenge, and the pleasure of being human. Let's laugh and cry and move deeper into ourselves and out toward each other!
Joey Chang aka CelloJoe is an anomaly in the world of cellists. Cello + beatboxing + vocals + live looping = Cello Joe. Think Classical Hip Hop. His lyrics weave together sustainability, environmental justice, and social awareness. They entertain, inspire, and make you wonder. Dance and laugh the night away to thought-provoking lyrics and groovy beats. Part musical comedy, part grimey beatbox part cello grooves, Cello Joe will get us jumpin!
