Kim Miller

Community Engagement

Pronoun: He/Him

Role Description:

Community Engagement & Tech

Bio:

Kim came to SoulPlay the way most meaningful things arrive — through a deep restlessness. As the father of two amazing humans, life becomes much about modeling the world you want your children to live in. Something is often missing in how men relate in particular: to desire, to each other, and to the people they love. That realization led him to founding Manifest, a community of men dedicated to trusting each other enough to lighten their grip on default personal narratives and be seen without their tightly held stories, naked and vulnerable, but so innately lovable. Kim is in the process of relearning consent — from obligation to opportunity. Giving and receiving consent is sacred. Recognizing the power of consent in each of us is recognizing the value in each of us. Discovering another’s wishes and sharing your own is true intimacy. Kim's hope for the future comes from knowing we can do better — in finding the courage to simply ask for what we want, in opening to what becomes possible when we do, and in learning to hold our outcomes lightly. Not every outcome has to do with us; we are all bumbling on our way toward ecstasy. For Kim SoulPlay is proof that we're already doing better, one step at a time.
