After traveling Europe for 15 years as a street performer, Alexandra now brings her performance talents to the workshop/teaching arena in California, her homeland. She teaches theater improv & juggling at local theaters & schools, skills she has found reach far beyond the stage. Although she loves performing, her biggest inquiry is around personal growth & connection. In her experience, she finds both juggling & improv help cultivate the ability to be fully present & is excited to share that experience with others.
Life is an improvised game. This workshop is a safe container to explore, expand & develop your ability to stay in the present, respond quickly, listen deeply & have fun! We will warm up with some juggling, play some fun improv warm up games & then get as silly or serious as you are willing to go! All in the spirit of a light heart & soul-exploring depths of our human experience!
Learning to juggle is hard. So is staying present. Find out how one leads to the other & learn a new party trick as a bonus! Or if you're a seasoned juggler, come & work on new tricks, build your skills, but most important, come have fun by staying in the moment & keeping your focus on the ball. We will play with the physicality of juggling but also the mental workout & the spiritual possibilities! We will also be making our own set of juggling balls to take home so you can keep practicing!
