Being raised in India & America to a spiritual psychotherapist (father) & preschool teacher (mother), Govindi was primed to do work around emotions, energy & inner child healing. At the age of 30, she left her corporate job & entered the world of yoga & the healing arts. The body became a huge focus for her on how to understand, communicate with & release stagnant energy/emotions from the body, mind & aura. Her life's desire is to help people reconnect to their own inner guidance through the body
Taking what was learned in "Body Talks, but Do We Listen?" workshop, we will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge in a more informed way. Movement followed by a 2-part breathwork session with everyone laying down, this practice will take the body into an altered (yet sober) state. During this time people become acutely aware of where & how the body stores emotions/trauma & how to let it all go. Happiness, clarity & a deep release are some of the typical outcomes of this practice.
This workshop will include vigorous movement, a 15 minute breathwork session, meditation and journaling. Followed by a talk on the scientific reasons, emotional connections, locations and outcomes within the body caused by neglecting the "E-motions" AKA energy that needs to be IN motion. Govindi will lead the group through some practices on connecting to those subtle forms of communication and provide tips on how to move the energy to instantly alleviate or reduce anxiety, stress and depression.
